Paneer Butter Masala with Ashok Spices: A Vegetarian Dream

  • 1 tsp Ashok Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Ashok Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Preparation:

Step 1: Prepare the Paneer

  • Heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan over medium heat.
  • Lightly sauté the paneer cubes until golden on the edges. Remove and set aside.

Step 2: Make the Gravy Base

  • Heat 2 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp oil in the same pan.
  • Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw aroma disappears.
  • Add the tomato puree and cook until the oil starts to separate.

Step 3: Flavor the Gravy

  • Mix in Ashok Turmeric Powder, Ashok Red Chili Powder, Ashok Coriander Powder, and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the cashew paste and sugar, stirring well to blend.
  • Pour in ½ cup of water (or more for desired consistency) and bring to a gentle simmer.

Step 4: Add the Paneer and Cream

  • Add the sautéed paneer cubes to the gravy and mix gently.
  • Stir in the fresh cream and Ashok Garam Masala. Simmer for 2-3 minutes on low heat.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and a swirl of cream.
  • Serve hot with naan, roti, or steamed rice.
